Conditions of Booking - Glebe Cottage - 2020
- Bookings made directly with us at Glebe Farm Cottage are subject to the terms and conditions stated below and include COVID related cancellations.
- Bookings made via any third-party agency (eg Airbnb, Holiday Lettings) are subject to the terms and conditions of the agency as stated on their website and booking information you receive from them.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
- Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit payment is received. This is usually requested within 24 hours of your holiday date being agreed.
- It is your responsibility to check the details of the booking dates are correct in the correspondence received from us.
STANDARD PAYMENT TERMS
Bookings must be accompanied by a one-third deposit. The remainder is due at least eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. Bookings made less than eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday must be accompanied by the full payment. Bookings for short breaks must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reminders are not issued. Non-payment by the due date is deemed to be a cancellation of your holiday.
SEPTEMBER 2020 COVID-19 PAYMENT TERMS (including pottery bookings)
Bookings must be accompanied by a £100 deposit. The remainder is due four weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. Reminders are not issued. Non-payment by the due date is deemed to be the cancellation of your holiday.
If government restrictions prevent us (the cottage provider) from letting out our holiday accommodation on the date your holiday is due to start, we will offer an alternative date or refund payment in full.
If government restrictions prevent you (the customer) from travel, you should notify us as soon as possible and we will try to re-let the accommodation for the dates you had booked. If we can re-let the accommodation, we will offer you a refund of the re-letting fee (i.e. the amount we receive for the replacement booking) less a 20% admin charge. OR you may offer your booking to a friend or relative, you must contact us prior to selling or gifting your booking.
METHOD OF PAYMENT We accept payment in GB £ by bank transfer.
HOLIDAY INSURANCE We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of your holiday should you have the need to cancel.
CANCELLATION If you have to cancel your holiday, you must notify us immediately by telephone and confirm in writing. In the case of cancellation, your deposit is forfeited. We will make every effort to re-let the cottage but if we are not successful you will remain responsible for the balance of the cost.
CHECK-IN The cottage is available after housekeeping to arrivals after 4.30 pm. The cottage will be unlocked so please check yourselves in.
DEPARTURE You must vacate the cottage by 10:30 am. Please leave the keys on the hanger inside the kitchen.
GUESTS Occupation of the cottage and use of the facilities are limited to guests named on the booking form or email confirmation to us. Should you wish to make alterations to the names or numbers of guests please ensure that you have our prior permission. We may refuse entry to the entire party if you fail to observe this or any other booking condition. The person making the booking must be over 18 and certifies that he or she is authorised to agree to the booking conditions on behalf of all other members of the party.
HEATING We include the cost of central heating for up to 8 hours per day. A bundle of logs and kindling are provided. If more are required, please purchase from the garage in Torrington.
SAFETY You are responsible for your own safety and that of any of your guests and children in your care at all times. You are responsible for the supervision of any children in your care at all times. We do not accept liability for any personal injury, loss, damage, or theft of your property/money however caused or sustained.
PETS Where permitted by prior arrangement; guests must agree not to leave their pets alone in the cottage. Dogs must always be kept on a lead on Glebe Farmhouse land. Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused by their pets.
SMOKING For the safety and comfort of all our guests, smoking is always strictly prohibited inside Glebe Cottage.
BREAKAGE/DAMAGE Guests are responsible for the cottage and its contents during the hire period and must reimburse ourselves for any breakages or damage on request. We reserve the right to charge for any damage and breakage and require guests to report any incidences immediately. Please leave the clean and tidy on departure. We operate a policy of constant maintenance and improvement and therefore there may be some alterations to the facilities advertised.
